OUR MISSION

The mission of D.C. Reeves Elementary is to create an environment in which students take the initiative to be Respectful, Compassionate, and Great with an opportunity to be lifelong learners and productive citizens.

Our vision at THE D.C. Reeves Elementary is to create a safe, loving, and nurturing environment that is accepting of all of our culturally diverse students. We are driven by meaningful relationships with our students that empower them to voice their opinions in a respectful manner through open and honest communication. We strive to build a firm foundation that inspires and motivates our students to overcome obstacles and to achieve individual growth and lasting academic success.

Once Upon A Time in the Park 2025

Connect, Learn, and Play!

Join us for a day of discovery at the park. There will be an egg hunt, music, magic shows, snow cones, and a variety of activities. This event is for kids ages 0-8 and is free to attend.

S.W.A.G. - Career Fair 2025

Our S.W.A.G. (Students with Amazing Gifts) Career Fair for students with disabilities is set to take place at the Amite Arena on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

America's Field Trip

In 2026, the United States will mark our Semiquincentennial: the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 

America’s Field Trip is a contest that invites students across the country in grades 3–12 to be part of America’s 250th anniversary by sharing their perspectives on what America means to them — with the opportunity to earn an unforgettable field trip experience at some of the nation’s most iconic historic and cultural landmarks.
